Stubborn fat can significantly affect how you feel about your body. Even with consistent exercise and a healthy lifestyle, small pockets of fat in certain areas can keep you from reaching your ideal shape. Liposuction provides an effective solution by precisely removing unwanted fat, helping you achieve a smoother, more contoured silhouette.

What is Liposuction

Liposuction is commonly used on its own to sculpt and refine areas with stubborn fat, and it’s also often combined with other procedures for a more comprehensive transformation.

Thanks to modern advancements, liposuction is typically a low-blood-loss procedure and can often be performed right in the office setting.

How Liposuction Is Performed

Zaleta Medical Spa has extensive training and experience in nearly all techniques including Skin tightening, laser liposuction and VASER liposuction.

Most of our procedures are performed in the office with sedation and a solution to numb the areas being treated. General anesthesia is also available in certain situations. Most people leave the office and can resume activity the next day. Depending on the size of the area being treated, liposuction can usually be completed in one session. For larger areas, you might need to divide the procedure into smaller steps at intervals.

The mini tummy tuck is for those that need minimal skin tightened, are wanting to get rid of stretch marks low on the abdomen or need a scar revision and tightening from previous surgery.

Who is a Good Candidate?

  • Individuals who are in good overall health and at a stable weight
  • Ideal candidates have small areas of stubborn fat they want to reduce or smooth out
  • Patients should be at or near a healthy BMI
  • Liposuction is a body contouring procedure, not a method for weight loss

Liposuction Recovery

After liposuction, most of our patients are able to return to normal activities within 2 to 3 days and more strenuous activities within 3 to 4 weeks. A specific post-operative treatment plan will be developed, tailored to your needs. Be sure to stick to your instructions for the best results.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does liposuction cost?
The cost of liposuction varies based on numerous factors, including the size of the area treated, if multiple areas are being addressed and even the technique used. The total cost will include the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia fee, facility/OR fee and may include other costs as well. To get an accurate estimate for your unique procedure, schedule a consultation with Dr. Pack.

Can liposuction help me lose weight?
Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure; is specifically meant to contour the body, creating smoother and slimmer lines. While you might notice the scale move a bit depending on how much fat is eliminated and whether or not you are also doing a fat transfer, this won’t be significant. On top of this, post-surgery swelling will likely mask any weight loss you experience.

What are the scars like after liposuction?
Liposuction scars are generally quite small, less than half an inch. During the healing stage, they might be a bit visible, but for most people, they fade enough over time that others don’t notice them. During your consultation, you can see before and after photos to get a better idea of how liposuction incisions heal.
